Albany Park

Albany Park

There’s a hum to Albany Park – an excited mix of cultures paired with the promise of a welcoming community. Multiculturalism is a giant stew in this neighborhood. Boutiques and restaurants line the streets selling anything from Turkish coffee pots to elotes.

At the end of the Brown Line, Albany Park is connected to the heart of Chicago. Along the mix of classic bungalows, larger multi-family courtyard buildings, and brick two-flats, the North Branch Trail connects to walking paths that weave through both North Park and Northeastern Universities.

Named after a citizen’s love for his hometown, Albany, New York, the neighborhood was once a bustling township of brickyards, street cars, and gamblers at the horse track. Now, it is one of Chicago’s most diverse neighborhoods with over 10 cultures represented.
