Bridgeport

Bridgeport

Snuggled between the Chicago River and I-94, ,you’ll find the vibrant neighborhood of Bridgeport. Along Halsted’s main drag, there is a bustle of new activity. In the late 2000s, Bridgeport experienced a revival of community, becoming a hotbed of art, community, and development.

Single family homes, classic 2-flats, and bungalows line the residential streets. The neighborhood is a multicultural collection of families, students, and long-standing community members. Close to Pilsen, UIC, IIT and within walking distance of 3 el trains, it’s an amazing location to call home.

When the Illinois and Michigan Canal was built, connecting the Chicago River directly to Lake Michigan, it triggered the birth of residential Bridgeport. Decades of immigrants have called this area home, and now it is an art-minded community with burgeoning potential!
