Ukrainian Village
If you close your eyes and imagine what Chicago was years ago, you’d have Ukrainian Village. Modern, with a touch of vintage charm. Local businesses flourish in 100-year old storefronts and grand and unique churches tower over the residential streets.
Having been developed just after the Great Fire of 1873, Ukrainian Village is one of the oldest Chicago neighborhoods. What was once a settlement of Ukrainian immigrants (in case you didn’t get that), it still plays host to new ideas and concepts!
Even though it is just south of the famous Wicker Park and East of the expansive Humboldt Park, Ukrainian Village has made its own mark as a neighborhood with tree-lined streets, classic Chicago two-flats, and a big active community.
