West Loop
The West Loop is one of Chicago’s redevelopment success stories. Once a line of abandoned warehouses and a smattering of meat markets, this area transformed into one of the most coveted neighborhoods in the city.
New builds, repurposed industrial buildings, and a few remaining row houses and worker’s cottages line the residential streets, with mid-rise mixed use buildings towing above. Randolph Street is the famed restaurant row, making Chicago a premiere destination for foodies! A lot of shopping has popped up in recent years, and the area has always had a steady presence of activity and music.
Once a hub of rail and water commerce, the Fulton Market District found itself the central marketplace of the city. Anything from food and textiles to dry goods and furniture could be found at sprawling wholesale warehouses. That bustle is still there, with the plethora of dining and entertainment options. It is close to downtown, transit, and much more- making it the perfect location for home.
